We understand that you are going through a trying time, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our help comes from the Lord. As it says in Psalm 121:1-2, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."
In your despair, cast your burdens upon the Lord, and he will sustain you. As it says in Psalm 55:22, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."
Regarding your financial struggles, remember that God cares for even the smallest details of our lives. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34, we should not be anxious about our lives, what we will eat or what we will drink, nor about our bodies, what we will put on. And then in verses 31, 32, and 33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Concerning your husband's employment, pray that God will guide him and provide him with a job where he can glorify God and provide for your family. As it says in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." And 2 Thessalonians 3:10b, "If someone will not work, he shall not eat."
For your son, trust that God loves him and has a plan for his life. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Finally, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear sister to you, Lord. We pray that you will comfort her in her despair and provide for her needs according to your riches in glory. Help her to cast her burdens upon you and trust in your provision. Guide her husband to find a job where he can glorify you and provide for his family. Protect their son and guide him in the path you have for him. Help this family to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, trusting that you will provide all their needs. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
