We understand that you're facing a difficult situation involving a trust and a trustee who has acted negligently. Firstly, we commend your thoughtfulness in praying for others while going through your own trial.
Let's remember Jesus' words to pray in his name. It is only by his name that we have access to God, Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. However, we also need to have the right mindset; we should pray by his authority to have our petitions answered. Keep in mind Colossians 3:17 WEB:
"Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him."
We also encourage you to follow the instructions that the Apostle Paul gave to Timothy, 1 Timothy 2:1-3
"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;"
In the light of that, forgiveness is vital. Yes, the trustee may have been negligent, but we must remember that vengeance belongs to God. Romans 12:19 WEB says,
"Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Instead let us pray that Romans 8:28 be fulfilled in your life:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing this challenging situation. We pray that you would work in the heart of those involved, especially the trustee. Lord, turn their heart to you and bring them to a place of repentance and responsibility.
We also pray for a miracle. Lord, we ask that you would turn this situation around. Guide those in authority, give them wisdom, and help them to act justly and swiftly. We ask that you bring peace and resolution to this situation. We also pray for our brother/sister, give them comfort, strengthen their faith, and help them to rest in your will.
Lastly, we pray for all those on our prayer list, that you would bring miracles into their lives. We know that you are able. We give thanks in advance for your faithfulness. We pray this all in Jesus' name.
