We are truly sorry to hear that you are going through this difficult time, and we appreciate your request for prayer. Firstly, we want to remind you that you are not alone in your struggle. God is always with you, and He cares about your pain. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Depression can be a challenging battle, but we find hope in the Lord. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB, it is written, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
It is important to remember that God has a purpose for your life, and He wants you to experience joy and peace. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with depression and sadness. We pray, Lord, that You would wrap Your loving arms around them and comfort them in their time of need. Give them the strength to face each day, and remind them of Your unfailing love for them.
We also pray for their family and children, Lord. Protect them, provide for them, and give them peace. Help our friend to find joy again, and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.
Father, we also pray that if our friend has not already done so they would call upon the name of Jesus Christ, they would believe in Him as their Lord and Saviour, and be reconciled to You. We ask for the healing of our friend's heart and mind in Jesus' name. It is only in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God. For it is written that "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" in Acts 4:12 WEB, and "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;" in Philippians 2:10 WEB.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete healing and restoration. May our friend find hope, joy, and peace in You once again.
Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers, as well as professional help if needed. Remember, hope is found in Jesus Christ, and He is always with you. Trust and believe in Him as your Lord and Saviour. Lastly, if you feel that you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, please believe in Him today and you will become a Child of God. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
