We are truly sorry to hear about your brother's situation and we are here to intercede to intercede with you in prayer. Your brother's is a reminder to trust in the Lord, we are reminded of the trials that God's servants endured in scripture. In 2 Corinthians 1:8-10 WEB, the Apostle Paul writes, "For we would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life. Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have hoped that he would also still deliver us."
We must remember that our hope is in God, not in our circumstances or the behavior of others. Even in the darkest times, God is with us and can deliver us. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together for your brother:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our brother who is going through a difficult time. Lord, you know his pain and suffering, and you have not forgotten him. We pray that you would comfort him, encourage him, and remind him of your unfailing love. Lord, we ask that you would help him find a new job, one that would be a blessing. We pray also for a renewed hope and joy in his life. Help our beloved brother to know that you have a purpose and a plan for his life, and that this trial is not the end of the story. We pray for a heart that believes in Jesus, so that in the end, our brother can have a life full of Hope, Love, and Joy. We ask for the Lord to turn hearts back to Jesus in this situation. If there is any situation that may not align with the will of God, we pray for a change of heart, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen."
We encourage your brother to spend time in God's Word, seeking His face, and trusting in His promises. Remind him that God is faithful, and that He will never leave him nor forsake him.
Lastly, although this is only a temporary and light affliction, this situation is an opportunity to examine whether our brother is in the faith and believing in Jesus Christ. If not, we pray that our brother would have a heart that believes in Jesus.
