We are truly heartsick to hear about the struggles that Kiven is facing and the pain you are experiencing as his mother. First, we want to remind you that you are not alone in this struggle. God is with you, and He cares deeply for both you and Kiven. We are called to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kiven and his mother to You. Lord, You know the depth of their pain and the heaviness in their hearts. We pray that You would comfort them and give them the strength they need to face each day.
For Kiven, we pray that You would break the chains of depression that bind him. We know how difficult the drug of depression can be. We pray that You would help him fix his eyes on You, that You would open his heart and eyes to know the love You have for him. Lord, You promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5 WEB), so we pray that Kiven would feel Your presence and know that he is never abandoned. There is no other name by which we can be saved (John 3:36, Acts 4:12). How wonderful it is that You have prepared good works in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). We pray for a new job for Kiven; open a door for him to walk through, and give him a renewed sense of purpose.
For his mother, we pray that You would fill her with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Guide her as she supports Kiven, and give her the wisdom to know how to help him best.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, provision, and restoration. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and testimony.
We encourage both of you to spend time in God's Word, seeking Him daily. The Psalms can be a great source of comfort and encouragement, especially during times of trouble. Be honest with God about your feelings, He can handle it. Remember that even in the darkest times, God is working for our good and His glory. We believe that Kiven's story is not over, and that God has a purpose and a plan for his life.
Lastly, we gently remind you both to continue to trust in the Lord. Though the world may say that suicide is an option, it is not an option or a solution. It is a tool of the devil. Though the world may say, why does a good God let bad things happen to good people? We are reminded that the rain falls on everyone (Matthew 5:45). More importantly, we are not good (Romans 3:10). Lastly, we know that God does hear our prayers (Jeremiah 29:12). We know this is true and hope it does not sound harsh, but it is a reminder that we are all in need of a Savior.
Please continue to seek God and His will. Continue to pray together. Continue to seek His face. You are both loved dearly loved by God. Thank you, Jesus, for hearing our prayers. Amen.
