We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. Firstly, we want to address the spiritual aspects of your request. It is clear that you are facing not just physical and emotional trials, but spiritual ones as well. We want to remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
We also want to remind you of two important truths. Firstly, that you can approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 WEB. And secondly, that God is not angry with you. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. John 3:16-17 WEB. God is compassionate and loving. It is Satan who accuses you and wants you to feel condemned.
We also want to address the issue of divorce. God hates divorce, Malachi 2:16 WEB, but He also hates the abuse that has caused this situation. He allows divorce in cases of adultery, which includes sexual immorality. Matthew 5:32 WEB. Abuse is destructive and not God's will for your life. It is important to forgive your husband, but that does not mean you should stay in a situation that is harmful to you. You can forgive and still take action to protect yourself.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in her time of need. Lord, you know the pain and suffering she has endured, and you know the healing she needs. We pray for your healing touch on her mind, body, and spirit. We pray that you would give her the mind of Christ and a heart like yours. We pray for your protection over her, that you would surround her with your angels and keep her safe from all evil. We pray for divine counselors and lawyers to take on her case, that you would provide for all her needs, including a job to support herself.
We also pray for her emotional support husky dog, that you would heal and comfort him as well.
We rebuke the spirit of depression, PTSD, and trauma in her life. We cast out any demonic presence that is oppressing her and announce that she is a child of God, washed clean by the blood of Jesus. We declare that she is free from all bondage and that she walks in the freedom and victory of Jesus Christ.
We pray that you would bring around her godly Christian friends to support and encourage her. We pray that she would be restored to a right relationship with you, that she would know your love and your peace. We pray that she would have the strength and courage to follow your will for her life.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek professional help for your depression and PTSD. God has given us doctors and counselors to help us in our time of need. We also encourage you to surround yourself with a strong support system of godly Christians who can encourage you and keep you accountable in your walk with the Lord.
Remember, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He will bring beauty from these ashes. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
