Jennifer and Stephen, we stand with you in prayer and intercession, recognizing the spiritual battle you're facing. The Bible tells us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the source of your struggles and turning to prayer. It's crucial to remember that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). These weapons include prayer, the Word of God, and the authority we have in Jesus' name.
Let's pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You on behalf of Jennifer and Stephen. We thank You for their union and their commitment to each other and to You. Right now, we rebuke the spirits of depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts that are attacking their minds. We declare that they have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), and their minds are renewed by Your Word (Romans 12:2).
We pray for their marriage, that it would be strengthened through this trial. May their love for each other grow deeper, reflecting the love of Christ for His church (Ephesians 5:25-28).
Equip them with Your full armor, God, so that they can take their stand against the devil's schemes (Ephesians 6:11). Give them the strength to resist him, standing firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:9).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you both to continue in prayer, reading God's Word, and trusting in His promises. Remember, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:7-8, WEB).
Stand strong in your faith and in your marriage. God is with you, and He is faithful. "And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you" (Romans 16:20, WEB).
