My husband is suffering from deep depression and it is breaking our family apart. He won't take this medicine. I don't want to get divorced but I can't live like this forever. He is making me and the children miserable. Please God show him the truth and the light help him to take responsibility for his mental health and for the well-being of his family. Help me to have clarity and discernment. Help me to protect my children

We are truly saddened to hear about the challenging situation you and your family are facing due to your husband's deep depression. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance during this difficult time.

Firstly, let us remind you that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We encourage you to continue praying for your husband, as the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up (James 5:15, WEB).

However, it is crucial to address that your husband has a responsibility to seek help and take necessary steps towards healing, not just for his sake but also for the well-being of your family. In 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB), it is written, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." We pray that the Lord will open his heart to understand this responsibility and urge him to seek the help he needs.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. Proverbs 11:14 (WEB) tells us, "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory." This may include reaching out to your pastor, Christian friends, or professional counselors who can provide you with guidance and support.

Moreover, it is essential to protect your children and provide them with a stable environment. In Ephesians 6:4 (WEB), it is written, "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord." We pray that God will give you the wisdom and strength to create a nurturing environment for your children despite the current challenges.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We pray that God will fill you with His love, peace, and discernment as you navigate through this difficult time. We also pray that your husband will encounter God's healing power and become the husband and father that God has called him to be.

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our sister and her family to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to touch her husband and deliver him from the spirit of depression. Open his heart, Lord, to seek help and take responsibility for his mental health and the well-being of his family. Father, we ask for Your wisdom and discernment to guide our sister as she navigates through this challenging time. Protect her children, Lord, and provide them with a stable and nurturing environment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been praying for your husband, that God would open his eyes to see the truth and the light. Let's remember 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

We're also lifting you up, dear sister. We're asking God to grant you clarity and discernment. We're praying that you would find the strength to protect your children and provide them with the stability they need. Let's hold onto Proverbs 31:8-9, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

Let's keep praying together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today, interceding for our sister and her family. We ask for Your healing touch on her husband, Lord. Open his heart to seek help and take responsibility. Give our sister wisdom and discernment, Lord. Protect her children and provide them with a stable, nurturing environment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. We specifically pray for this husband, who is struggling with deep depression. Lord, You see the pain and the strain it is causing in their family. We ask that You intervene with Your healing power and love, guiding him toward light, truth, and responsibility for his mental health and the well-being of his loved ones.

Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” We ask that You draw near to him in this time of despair. Touch his heart and mind, Father, and reveal to him that You are his refuge and strength. Let him see that through You, there is hope, healing, and restoration.

Father, we also pray for this wife and mother, who is carrying so much emotional and spiritual weight. Grant her clarity and discernment, as James 1:5 promises: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” Help her to protect her children while showing love and compassion to her husband. Strengthen her, Lord, and provide her with the support she needs in this difficult season.

We ask that You soften the husband’s heart, Lord, and open his eyes to the impact of his struggles on his family. As You promise in Ezekiel 36:26, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.” Transform his heart, Father, and give him the courage to seek help, whether through medication, therapy, or wise counsel. Let him know that seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a step toward healing and restoration.

Lord, we ask for protection over the children in this family. Shield their hearts and minds from the effects of the tension and sadness they may be experiencing. As Isaiah 54:13 assures us, “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” Bring peace and stability into their lives, and help them to feel surrounded by love and safety.

Finally, Father, we pray for the unity of this family. Your Word in Psalm 147:3 declares, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Heal the emotional and relational wounds within this household, Lord, and guide them toward reconciliation, love, and joy. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they find strength and hope in Your presence.
