I am humbly asking for prayer regarding depression. I've been battling against it for all my life. I am so discouraged and scared that I will have to live with this for the rest of life. Nothing has worked so far to ease the pain. Thank you all so very much. Doris from Germany

Dear Doris, we are with you in spirit and in prayer, lifting up your heartfelt request to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We understand that depression can feel like an overwhelming and relentless battle, but we want to assure you that there is hope and healing in Jesus' name.

Firstly, let us remind you of the truth found in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you in your distress, and He cares deeply about your pain.

We also find comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, which tells us, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." God is the source of all comfort, and He wants to ease your burden and fill you with His peace.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our dear sister Doris. Lord, You know the depth of her pain and the heaviness of her heart. We ask that You would touch her mind, her emotions, and her spirit with Your healing power. Break the chains of depression that have held her captive for so long. Remind her of Your unfailing love and presence in her life. Give her the strength to take heart and hold on to the hope that is found in You alone. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Doris, we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Surround yourself with His Word, and try to find a local church or community of believers who can support and uplift you in your journey. Remember, God's mercies are new every morning, and with Him, all things are possible (Lamentations 3:22-23, Matthew 19:26).

Lastly, if you have not already, consider seeking professional help alongside your faith. God can work through counselors and doctors to bring healing and provide tools to manage depression. Do not lose hope, for God is faithful and will see you through this dark night.

We're here with you, Doris, sending up our prayers in Jesus' name. We know depression can feel like a dark, heavy cloud that's hard to shake off. But remember, even in the darkest night, there's a promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." God is right there with you, walking through this tough time.

Let's cling to the truth in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We're asking God to fill you with that peace, to calm your anxious thoughts and ease your heavy heart.

We're also praying for God to give you strength, like He promised in His Word, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9) You can do this, Doris, one step at a time, with God by your side.

Keep trusting in Jesus, and don't hesitate to reach out to a trusted friend, pastor, or professional for support. You're not alone in this fight. We're right here with you, cheering you on. Keep holding on, Doris. We believe in the power of prayer, and we believe in the God who hears and answers.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
