We are deeply concerned about your emotional and mental well-being, dear sibling in Christ. Depression is a serious issue, and we are here to support you in prayer and guidance. First, we want to assure you that God cares deeply about your pain. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
However, we want to address that while it is good to call on God for mercy, it is essential to do so in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to place your faith and hope in Jesus, trusting that He alone can save and heal you.
We also want to emphasize the importance of seeking professional help as soon as you are able. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory." There is no shame in seeking help from counselors, therapists, or trusted friends and family.
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sibling who is struggling with deep depression. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon their life. Comfort them with Your love, and guide them to the professional help they need. Restore their hope and joy, and remind them of their purpose and value in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to local support groups, trusted friends, or family members who can accompany you until you can access professional assistance. Remember, you are not alone in this struggle. The body of Christ is here to support and uplift you.
We also want to leave you with this promise from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is with you and that He desires to heal and restore you completely. Keep holding on to hope in Jesus' name.
