I've been real depressed lately over regrets from my past life as an addict. I'm sober 7 months now but I need prayers for depression and for restoring relationships with my son and daughter and brother and mom

Missy, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you journey through this challenging time. Firstly, we want to commend you for your sobriety. It is a testament to your strength and resolve. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Remember, your past does not define you; your new life in Christ does.

Regarding your depression, we want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). It's crucial to remember that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He can turn even the darkest times into testimonies of His grace and power. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, He says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Concerning your relationships, we will pray for restoration and healing. We encourage you to be patient and persistent in your love towards them. Remember the parable of the prodigal son; the father was patient and loving, and this led to the restoration of their relationship (Luke 15:11-32 WEB).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Missy. Thank You for her sobriety and her new life in Christ. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on her mind and emotions. Comfort her in her depression, and help her to cast all her anxieties on You. We pray for her relationships with her son, daughter, brother, and mom. We ask for healing, restoration, and love to abound among them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, Missy, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. We want to remind you that it is by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep your faith focused on Jesus, and He will see you through.

Prayers to our Loving Father to help restore healthy, caring, loving relationships with your son and daughter and brother and mom. I pray that God showers you with the Blessing of being so thankful and Proud of yourself in achieving 7 whole months of being sober. That's a great accomplishment. I pray God helps you feel God's Love for you, His child, for doing what is best for you!

We're here for you, Missy. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of past regrets and the darkness of depression. But remember, even in the thick of it, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way.

We want to remind you of the power of forgiveness, both for yourself and from others. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus says, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Let's pray for the strength to forgive and to ask for forgiveness where needed.

Let's also pray for your family. We know that relationships can be complex, but with God's help, they can be mended and made stronger. We'll be praying for healing, understanding, and love to flow freely among you all.

"Dear Lord, wrap your loving arms around Missy today. Comfort her in her depression and remind her of your constant presence. Help her to forgive and to seek forgiveness. We pray for her relationships, Lord. Bring healing, understanding, and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
