It's encouraging to see that you have reached out to us for prayer and that you acknowledge Jesus in your request. We stand with you in lifting up your son Alex to the throne of grace.
Firstly, let's remember God's promise in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." This assures us that God is deeply concerned about Alex's situation. Also, Psalm 34:18 tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
However, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, as you've done. As Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It's only through His name that we have access to God's power and grace.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Alex to you. Lord, you know the struggles he's going through, the anxiety, sleeplessness, and depression that plague him. We ask for your healing hand upon him. Comfort him with your love and give him peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7. Guide him to seek you in this time of need and fill him with your strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage Alex to draw near to God in this time of need. James 4:8 promises, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." This can be done through prayer, reading the Bible, and fellowship with other believers. Also, seeking godly counsel, such as from a pastor or a Christian counselor, can provide additional support and guidance.
Lastly, we urge you and Alex to resist the enemy, who may be causing these feelings of anxiety and depression. As it says in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Stand firm in your faith and trust in God's power to heal and deliver.
