Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is struggling with depression and seeking restoration of joy in their life. We acknowledge that you are the source of true happiness and peace, and we ask that you pour out your abundant grace and mercy upon them.
Lord, we know that you are near to the brokenhearted and that you are able to bring comfort and healing to those who are hurting. We pray that you would wrap your loving arms around our friend, lifting the heavy burden of depression from their shoulders. Fill their heart with your peace that surpasses all understanding and replace their sorrow with your joy.
We declare your promises from Isaiah 61:3, that you give "beauty for ashes" and "the oil of joy for mourning." We ask that you would transform their ashes into something beautiful and bring forth joy in the midst of their mourning. Help them to experience the power of the Gospel, which brings hope and restoration to every area of their life.
Lord, we also pray that you would guide them to seek help and support from those around them. Surround them with caring and understanding individuals who can provide encouragement, love, and practical assistance. Give them the courage to reach out and share their struggles with trusted friends, family, or professionals who can offer guidance and support.
We thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in your unfailing love and believe that you are working in our friend's life, bringing healing and restoration. May they experience the fullness of your joy and find strength in you each day.
