Depression to lift

I think I have depression and a lot of pain.

I am becoming more concerned about my mental wellbeing as time goes on. I have crippling anxiety and it's getting worse. I believe this is due to abuse I've endured. I am concerned that this will not get better. I am in the process of getting out of my current toxic environment. I just hope I am going to make it out. I feel like I can't really go on the way I am.

Please pray for ### to find practical help in turning ### life around as soon as possible. ### need the right steps to take and the right way to go about things. ### am failing at everything.

### don't like feeling behind everyone in ### age group and younger. ### feel like ### am being left behind. ### depression is getting worse.

Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the need to remove yourself from a toxic environment. The Bible tells us to "flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart" (2 Timothy 2:22, WEB). This applies not only to lusts but to any harmful situation.

We also want to address the feelings of failure and being left behind. Remember, God has a unique path for each of us. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Do not compare your journey to others, but trust in God's timing and plan for your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon ###. Lord, You know the pain they are going through, the anxiety that cripples, and the depression that seeks to overwhelm. We ask that You would lift these burdens and replace them with Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB).

Guide ### to the right help, both practical and spiritual, to turn their life around. Give them the wisdom to know the right steps to take and the right path to follow. Protect them as they move to a safe place, both physically and mentally.
