We are here with you, Fyruidoth, in this time of need, and we appreciate your openness in sharing your struggles with depression, faith, and purpose. Firstly, we want to remind you that our help comes from God, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2, WEB).
In your feelings of depression we are encouraged by the Psalms, for instance Psalms 42 to 43. They show us that we should not fear to talk to God about our struggles.
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence. (Psalms 42:5 WEB)
We will pray that God softens your heart, brings joy back into your life and lifts your depression. We will also pray that you will be guided in aligning your faith and will with God's plan for you.
We understand that you are struggling with faith. We should all be constantly testing our hearts to see if we are actually believing in Jesus Christ. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach; because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:8-13)
You are feeling that you do not have purpose. Rest assured that God has a purpose for you. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Fyruidoth, asking for Your divine intervention in their life. We pray that You soften their heart, Lord, and bring back joy into their life. Help them in their depression and remind them that there is a purpose for everything that You allow in their life.
Turn their struggles into a testament of Your glory, Father. Draw them close and renew their faith and purpose in life. We pray for a direct encounter with You and your Son Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit. Help them to reach out to You and to be in Your Word to find their purpose.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Fyruidoth. God loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life, especially in these trying times. Stand firm in your faith, and remember that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through. We are reminded that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28, WEB)
