We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling consumed by depression, oppression, hopelessness, fear, and anxiety. We want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle, and that there is hope and joy to be found in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In the Bible, we are reminded that we do not have to be controlled by these feelings. Psalm 34:17-18 WEB tells us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our fellow believer who is battling with depression, oppression, hopelessness, fear, and anxiety. We know that this is not Your will for their life, and we stand in agreement, rebuking these spirits in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we ask that You would remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding, and give them a supernatural joy that can only come from You.
Lord, we also pray for any root causes of these feelings to be revealed and dealt with. If there are any issues from the past that need to be addressed, please bring them to light and provide healing and restoration.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to draw closer to You during this time. Surround them with Your love, and give them the support and encouragement they need from Your body of believers.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear friend, by the words of Romans 8:38-39 WEB: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
