Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this beloved child of Yours who is carrying a silent request and walking through the valleys of depression and grief. Lord, You are the God who sees every tear and hears every unspoken word, and we trust in Your compassion and love.
Father, we pray for Your comforting presence to surround them. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Draw near to them, Lord, and bring the healing that only You can provide. May they feel Your arms of love wrapped around them, reassuring them of Your faithfulness and care.
Lord, we pray for the unspoken burden they carry. Though we may not know the specifics, You know every detail, and Your Word reminds us in Psalm 139:2, “You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You discern my thoughts from afar.” Father, bring resolution, peace, and provision in their situation according to Your perfect will.
In their struggle with depression and grief, we ask for Your light to pierce through the darkness. Remind them of Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Father, let them find rest for their weary soul in Your presence.
Lord, strengthen their faith and help them to hold on to hope, as Your Word declares in Isaiah 40:31, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Renew their strength day by day, lifting them up in Your grace and power.
Father, bring people into their life who can support, encourage, and uplift them. Remind them of Your promise in Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Even in this difficult time, help them to trust that You are working for their good and Your glory.
Finally, Lord, grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding as they place their trust in You (Philippians 4:6-7). May they know that You are with them every step of the way, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
