Depression and suicidal thoughts

I am extremely depressed and have no passion whatsoever to live. I recently started getting suicidal thoughts but I know it’s against Jesus will so I don’t want to do it. Please pray for me, in Jesus name I ask for healing. Amen.

We are truly sorry to hear about the intense emotional pain and despair that you are experiencing. It is important to remember that your life is precious to God, and that He has a purpose and plan for you.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that suicide is not God's will for your life. God's Word tells us, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. Remember that God has a plan for your life, and that plan is to give you a future and a hope.

In these times of darkness, hold on to the promise that God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. Even when you feel weak, God's strength is made perfect in your weakness. For when I am weak, then am I strong 2 Corinthians 12:10 WEB.

We encourage you to reach out to local Christian counselors or pastors who can provide professional help and biblical guidance. Also, surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you in this difficult time. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister/brother Grace Saved by Grace in Jesus Christ name. Father, they are overwhelmed by depression and suicidal thoughts, but we know that Your will is for them to have life and have it more abundantly.

We pray for Your healing touch upon their mind, emotions, and spirit. Cast out any spirit of heaviness and replace it with a garment of praise. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith.

Surround them with Your love, and remind them of their value and purpose in You. Guide them to the right people who can provide the help and support they need. In Jesus' name, we pray for their complete healing and restoration.

We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God loves you more than you can ever imagine. He is with you in this dark valley, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep crying out to Him, and trust in His unfailing love for you. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39 WEB.

We're here with you, Grace. We understand that depression can feel like a heavy cloud, making it hard to see the light. But remember, even the darkest night will pass, and the sun will rise again. We're holding onto hope for you, knowing that God is working in your life, even when you can't feel it.

We want to remind you of Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's right there with you, Grace. He sees your pain, and He's not far off. He's right there, ready to comfort you.

We're also thinking about Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is inviting you to come to Him, Grace. He's offering you rest. He's offering you peace.

We're praying for you, Grace. We're praying that God will fill you with a sense of His love and presence. We're praying that He'll give you the strength to keep going, one step at a time. We're praying that He'll guide you to the help and support you need, whether that's through professional counseling, trusted friends, or your church community.

And we're here for you too, Grace. We're not just prayer warriors; we're your brothers and sisters in Christ. We're here to listen, to encourage, and to support you in any way we can.

Let's keep holding onto hope together, Grace. Because we know that even in the darkest times, God is still good, and He's still in control. And we're here, standing with you, every step of the way.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
