Depression and pain

I suffer from dramatic events that happened to me in the past. I often have night mares and they are very disturbing. These events seem to hold me in a sad depression. I want to be healed and set free.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and depression that you're experiencing due to past events. Please know that you are not alone in this struggle, and that there is hope and healing in Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. He is always with you, even in your darkest hours. Remember that nothing can separate you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39 WEB.

In order to find healing and freedom, it's crucial to forgive any who may have wronged you. Forgiveness does not mean that what happened is acceptable; it means releasing the power that these events and people have over your life. As it is written, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.

It's also important to cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Share your pain and fears with the Lord, and allow Him to comfort you.

Regarding nightmares, we encourage you to pray before sleeping, asking God to guard your mind and heart. You can find comfort in the words of Psalm 4:8 WEB, I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; For you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel from fellow believers, pastors, or Christian counselors. They can provide additional support and guidance as you walk through this healing process.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ### who is struggling with pain and depression due to past events. Father, we ask that You comfort them and heal their broken heart. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, and to release the pain and anger that may be holding them captive.

We pray that You will guard their mind and heart, and provide peaceful sleep free from disturbing nightmares. Give them the strength and courage to seek help and support from fellow believers, and guide them towards godly counsel.

Most importantly, Lord, draw ### closer to You. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help them to trust in You with all their heart.

We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who makes all things possible and Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we find true healing, freedom. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah Psalm 62:8 WEB.

We're here with you, Slealake, in your journey through depression and pain. We understand that the past can cast long shadows, but remember, Jesus is the Light that can pierce through the darkness. He's been there, carrying our sorrows and griefs (Isaiah 53:4).

Let's hold onto this promise together: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Jesus is inviting you to lay down your burdens, your nightmares, and your depression at His feet. He's ready to take them from you.

We're reminded of a story in the Bible where Jesus healed a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment. After healing him, Jesus told the crowd, "Be opened!" (Mark 7:34-35). We pray that same word over you today, Slealake. Be opened - to healing, to peace, to joy, to freedom.

Let's claim this verse together: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He's right there with you, Slealake, in your pain. Trust Him, lean on Him, and let His love envelop you.

We're here to walk this path with you, one step at a time, until you find the healing and freedom you so desperately desire. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, for He is the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
