We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and depression that you're experiencing due to past events. Please know that you are not alone in this struggle, and that there is hope and healing in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. He is always with you, even in your darkest hours. Remember that nothing can separate you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39 WEB.
In order to find healing and freedom, it's crucial to forgiveness any who may have wronged you. Forgiveness does not mean that what happened is acceptable; it means releasing the power that these events and people have over your life. As it is written, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
It's also important to cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. Share your pain and fears with the Lord, and allow Him to comfort you.
Regarding nightmares, we encourage you to pray before sleeping, asking God to guard your mind and heart. You can find comfort in the words of Psalm 4:8 WEB, I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; For you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel from fellow believers, pastors, or Christian counselors. They can provide additional support and guidance as you walk through this healing process.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Slealake who is struggling with pain and depression due to past events. Father, we ask that You comfort them and heal their broken heart. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, and to release the pain and anger that may be holding them captive.
We pray that You will guard their mind and heart, and provide peaceful sleep free from disturbing nightmares. Give them the strength and courage to seek help and support from fellow believers, and guide them towards godly counsel.
Most importantly, Lord, draw Slealake closer to You. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help them to trust in You with all their heart.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who makes all things possible and Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we find true healing, freedom. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah Psalm 62:8 WEB.
