We join you in prayer, Anonymous, and we admire your humility in seeking God's will for your life. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. It is also by His name that we are saved. As the Bible says,"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Your feelings of depression and anxiety are not uncommon, but we want to remind you that God's perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). We pray that God will fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB), you have prayed for Him to correct you and forgive you if you have sinned. This is a powerful prayer, as it opens your heart to His conviction and guidance. As King David of Israel wrote in the Psalms, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way." (Psalm 139:23-24 WEB). We pray this for you also.
We also join you in praying for God's will regarding your relationships and emotions. Strengthening the relationships and emotions you should keep, while discarding things that are not pleasing to Him, will become clear as you continue to seek Him. Like you, we pray for God to help you in this endeavor. The Bible advises us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). This may also apply to non-Christians you have relationships with as well. It particularly applies to marriage for God commands that a Christian Believer must marry another Christian Believer (1 Corinthians 7:39 WEB).
We also pray for God's protection over you in all your comings and goings, as you have requested. Our Lord Jesus encourages us to ask for such things.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Anonymous to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their life. Please touch and heal their mind and heart, Lord. Cast out all anxiety and depression, and fill them with Your perfect love and peace. Help them to feel what they should and remove all feelings that are not from You. Strengthen them in their decisions to make decisions about relationships and emotions that align with Your will. Guide them in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake. Protect them in all their comings and goings, according to their request and may they be able to feel love and joy in the midst of any situation. May they continue to seek You with all their heart. May they also be able to eat and sleep well and function in their daily life blessed by You. Help them endure the suffering they might have from any possible trauma, distress, and bereavement. In the mighty and most powerful name of Jesus, we pray, amen.
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue to seek God's will through prayer and the study of His word. Meditate on His promises, and trust that He is faithful to complete the good work He has started in you (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Read your Bible daily to learn from God more. When God puts the Bible on our hearts its truth abundantly abides in our hearts.
