Depression and anxiety

I am asking for prayers because I suffer from depression and anxiety but my depression is very bad and medication doesn't seem to be working anymore. I even find it hard to leave the house and I have responsibility to help my ### year old mom, praying for God to help me overcome this and get better so I can continue to help my mom and others thank you ###.

We are truly sorry to hear about your struggle with depression and anxiety, ###. We want to remind you that you are not alone, and God is always with you, even in your darkest times. The Bible tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God's help and comfort. It's crucial to remember that our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2). We also want to address that while medication can be helpful, ultimate healing comes from God. As it says in Jeremiah 17:14 (WEB), "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed. Save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise."

However, we noticed that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' " We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus and invite Him into your life if you haven't already.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, they have been struggling with depression and anxiety, and we ask for Your healing touch upon their mind and body. Lord, give them the strength to face each day and to continue helping their mother. Lord, we believe that Your will is for them to prosper and be in health, even as their soul prospers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and community support alongside your prayers and medication. God sometimes uses professionals and community to help us in our journey towards healing.

We're here with you, ###, standing in the gap with our prayers. We know depression and anxiety can feel overwhelming, like a heavy weight that's hard to shake. But remember, even in the darkest valleys, God is right there with you, holding your hand. He sees your struggles, and He cares deeply.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's comfort and strength. In times like these, it's crucial to lean into His embrace, to find refuge in His love. As Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We also want to remind you that God has given us His Word as a lamp to guide our feet (Psalm 119:105). Dive into His promises, ###. Meditate on them, let them fill your heart and mind. They are there to strengthen you, to encourage you, to remind you of His unfailing love.

As you continue to help your mom, remember that God equips those He calls. He will give you the strength you need, day by day. Trust in Him, even when it's hard to see the way forward.

So sorry and know exactly how you feel. I have been taking medication for depression and terrible anxiety but it hasn't helped. God is Jehovah Rapha who heals ALL our diseases so pray you will be healed. God Bless you for caring for your mom.

Like you my medication isn't working and I am in the process of coming off it. Let's keep looking to Jesus to heal us.
It is wonderful you take care of your mom but remember to take care of yourself
