We are truly heartbroken to hear about the depth of despair and hopelessness experienced. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge the pain and suffering that has been endured. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
It's clear that there are feelings of disconnect from God's love and a sense of not belonging to Him. But let us assure you, God's love is unfailing and unconditional. He says, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness. Jeremiah 31:3
Even when we don't realize God's love, it does not mean that He does not love us. If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Marana atha. 1 Corinthians 16:22. This is a harsh portion of scripture, but it is very important to understand. The world will tell us that God can still love us even if we do not love him. The Bible tells us that we should want to love God. We should not live our life not loving God just to avoid going to hell. We should want to love God, because He loves us. This is what is meant by loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind.
The fact that Jesus Christ died for sins while still sinners shows the extent of God's love. Since then we know what love is, that Christ laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. God did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all. How shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32. This is a demonstration of God's own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.
We want to be very clear here. We believe that the request is saying that Jesus Christ has saved them from going to hell. However, the request also says that they do not love God and do not want to be his daughter. This is not salvation. The request is also saying that they are only following God because they do not want to go to hell. This is not salvation. We should be loving God and wanting to be his children. We should not be following God out of fear of hell, but because he loves us and we should want to love him back.
The request also indicates a belief that God is responsible for the tragic events in life. But God is not the author of evil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12. It's important to remember that there is a real enemy, the devil, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. John 10:10. But Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly.
In the midst of all the pain, it is not a surprise that there are feelings of not looking forward to anything anymore. We pray and believe God's love and mercy will restore hope. Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up the one who is in deep despair and hopelessness. We believe the request wants to be a Christian, but the request does not acknowledge Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved and the only way to come to the Father. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.
We ask that You reveal Your unfailing love. We ask that the request accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. When the request accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior they will be saved. We ask that You give hope and a future. In Jesus' name, we pray.
We encourage reaching out to a local pastor, Christian counselor, or trusted believer to talk about these feelings and get the support needed. It's crucial to remember that we are not alone in this struggle. God is with us, and He cares for us. Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22.
