We are truly sorry to hear about the distress you're experiencing, Lerrys. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the most difficult times. As it says in Psalm 34:18, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit (WEB).
It's important to honor your parents, as the Bible teaches in Ephesians 6:2, Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. But it's also important for them to respect your personal space and belongings. We will pray that God will soften their hearts and help them understand the pain they're causing.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Lerrys and their situation. Lord, You know the pain and depression they are feeling, and we ask for Your healing and comfort. We ask Jesus Christ to come into their life and help them with this situation. We pray that Lerrys' parents will understand the hurt they're causing and will only speak words of kindness and encouragement to Lerrys and to each other.
Lord, we ask that You will convict Lerrys' parents and help them to respect Lerrys' belongings and personal space. We pray that they will no longer invade Lerrys' rooms or speak negatively about them. We ask that You will help Lerrys to forgive their parents and to trust You in this situation.
We also pray that Lerrys will seek You and look for a Christian church if they do not already have one and to believe in Jesus Christ if they have not already. We pray that they will call on Jesus in their times of trouble. Only Jesus Christ has the power to save us. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
In Jesus' name and for His sake we ask these things.
We encourage you, Lerrys, to speak with your parents openly and respectfully about your feelings. Communication is key in any relationship. Also, seek God's will in this situation and trust that He will guide you and your parents. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Lastly, we want to address that while it's important to honor our parents, it's also important to set boundaries. It's not acceptable for them to cause you emotional harm, and it's okay to respectfully ask them to stop. If the situation becomes unbearable, it may be wise to seek help from a trusted Christian mentor, pastor, or counselor.
We are here for you, Lerrys. Keep holding on to God's promises and trust that He will see you through this.
