We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing, but we want to remind you that you are not alone, and God is always with you. First, let's address the feelings of depression and self-hatred. It's important to remember that God created you in His image, and He loves you unconditionally. As it is written in Psalm 139:13-14 WEB:
You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.
God does not make mistakes, and He did not give you a disgusting body. The enemy often uses lies to make us feel badly about ourselves. It is the enemy who wants you to feel this way. God wants us to love ourselves and see ourselves as He sees us. Also, remember that God looks at the heart, not at the outward appearance. As it is written in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB:
But Yahweh said to Samuel, Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.
Regarding your significant other falling out of love with you, we want to remind you that God's love is eternal and unfailing. As it is written in Romans 8:38-39 WEB:
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We also want to address the issue of feeling like God is punishing you. God is not punishing you. He is a loving and merciful Father who wants the best for you. Sometimes, He allows trials and tribulations to strengthen our faith and draw us closer to Him. As it is written in Romans 5:3-4 WEB:
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.
Regarding your employment situation, we encourage you to keep trusting in God and seeking His will for your life. He has a plan and a purpose for you, and He will provide for your needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-26, 33 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Finally, we want to address the issue of prayer. Remember that God does not always answer our prayers in the way we expect or want, but He always answers them in the way that is best for us. We are not told to pray for our will but for His will. As it is written in Matthew 6:10 WEB:
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
We notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus or the fact that it is only by His name that we have access to God. It is important to remember that Jesus is the only way to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can be saved. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
We encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with depression and self-hatred. We pray that You would heal their heart and mind, and help them to see themselves as You see them. We pray that You would restore their relationship with their significant other, and help them to find a godly spouse if that is Your will. We pray that You would provide for their employment needs, and help them to find a job that brings them joy and fulfillment. We pray that You would help them to trust in You, and to seek Your will for their life. We pray that You would comfort them, and help them to know that You are always with them, and that You love them unconditionally. We pray that You would help them to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and to know that He is the only way to You. We pray all of these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
