We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and suffering you are experiencing, and we want to lift you up in prayer and truth from God's Word. Firstly, let's address the situation with biblical principles and then pray together.
God's design for relationships is founded on love, trust, and faithfulness. The Bible is clear about the sanctity of relationships and the harm of infidelity. In the Book of Exodus 20:14, WEB, God commands, "You shall not commit adultery." Your significant other's actions are not a reflection of your worth but a breach of God's commandments.
It's crucial to understand that God is not punishing you. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16, WEB) God loves you and wants the best for you. He is not the author of the pain you're experiencing. Instead, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10, WEB)
Regarding your fear of starting over, remember that with God, all things are possible. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you to lift up our sister who is hurting and in need of your divine intervention. Lord, she feels depressed, worthless, and afraid, but we know that you have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Please comfort her heart, Lord, and guide her steps.
Help her to understand that the actions of others do not define her worth, for she is fearfully and wonderfully made in your image (Psalm 139:14, WEB). Break the chains of fear and depression, Lord, and give her the strength to stand firm in your love.
We pray for her significant other, that he may repent and turn away from his sinful actions. But above all, Lord, we pray for your will to be done in this situation. If it is your will for this relationship to end, give her the courage to let go and the faith to trust that you have a better future in store for her.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB) If you haven't already, surrender your life to Jesus, and believe in His love and redemption for you. Stay strong in faith and continue to trust in the Lord. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB).
