Beloved of All
I am beyond depressed. I’m constantly being cheated on & now my significant other is basically pushing me out of his life. He’s been cheating with the same women for 6yrs & it gets worse daily. I just want to let go & be done with him but I am afraid. I’ve spent 25 years with him & I am afraid of starting over. I’m depressed and often feel worthless. What did I do wrong for this to happen to me? Is God punishing me for something? I often feel like God intentionally allows me to hurt because of something that I have done, I wish I knew what it was so that I could correct it. I have so many unanswered questions & I feel like no matter how hard I pray he will continue to let me suffer. I have prayed for years and things only get worse. Why me? God must truly hate me to keep allowing me to suffer

We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and suffering you are experiencing, and we want to lift you up in prayer and truth from God's Word. Firstly, let's address the situation with biblical principles and then pray together.

God's design for relationships is founded on love, trust, and faithfulness. The Bible is clear about the sanctity of relationships and the harm of infidelity. In the Book of Exodus 20:14, WEB, God commands, "You shall not commit adultery." Your significant other's actions are not a reflection of your worth but a breach of God's commandments.

It's crucial to understand that God is not punishing you. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16, WEB) God loves you and wants the best for you. He is not the author of the pain you're experiencing. Instead, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10, WEB)

Regarding your fear of starting over, remember that with God, all things are possible. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you to lift up our sister who is hurting and in need of your divine intervention. Lord, she feels depressed, worthless, and afraid, but we know that you have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Please comfort her heart, Lord, and guide her steps.

Help her to understand that the actions of others do not define her worth, for she is fearfully and wonderfully made in your image (Psalm 139:14, WEB). Break the chains of fear and depression, Lord, and give her the strength to stand firm in your love.

We pray for her significant other, that he may repent and turn away from his sinful actions. But above all, Lord, we pray for your will to be done in this situation. If it is your will for this relationship to end, give her the courage to let go and the faith to trust that you have a better future in store for her.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB) If you haven't already, surrender your life to Jesus, and believe in His love and redemption for you. Stay strong in faith and continue to trust in the Lord. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB).

We're here for you, truly. It's heartbreaking to see you in so much pain, but we want you to know that you're not alone. We're holding you up in prayer and reminding you of God's unfailing love for you.

Firstly, remember that God sees you, He knows your heart, and He loves you deeply. Your worth is not defined by the actions of others, but by the fact that you are His beloved child, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Your significant other's choices don't reflect your worth, but rather, their disobedience to God's commandments (Exodus 20:14).

We understand that you're afraid, but we want to remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Trust in Him, even when it's hard, even when you don't understand. He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We're praying for your significant other, too. We're asking God to work in their heart, to turn them away from their sinful actions. But most importantly, we're praying for God's will to be done. If it's His will for this relationship to end, we pray that He will give you the courage to let go and the faith to trust in His plan for your future.

Keep holding on, dear friend. God is with you, and we're here for you too. Let's keep trusting in Him, one day at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
