Depressed and want to die

I am severely depressed and I want my life to end as soon as possible so I am reunited with Jesus. In Jesus name I ask, Amen.

We are truly sorry to hear about the profound depression and despair that has led to these suicidal thoughts. Firstly, we acknowledge that this prayer is asked in Jesus' name, which is wonderful because it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father and His throne of Grace.

We want to remind you that while it is true that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, it is also true that taking your own life would be murder. It is stated in Exodus 20:13, "You shall not murder." And in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, "Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, which you are."

Suicide is not an escape but a tragedy that will not only have eternal consequences but also deep pain for those left behind. Remember that Jesus came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly.

In John 10:10, Jesus says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."

We urge you to seek help from Christian counselors, pastors, or trusted brothers and sisters in Christ. It is crucial to be open about these feelings and not be alone during this time. Professional help should also be sought for proper guidance and support.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear sister/brother who is going through a deep valley of depression and despair. Lord, we plead Your blood over their mind, and we bind any spirit of suicide, despair, and hopelessness. Help them to cast all their burdens on You and draw strength from You.

Father, surround them with Your love, and may they sense Your presence more than ever. Open their heart to receive Your comfort, hope, and joy. Connect them with the right people who can support and encourage them during this difficult time.

We ask for complete healing and restoration for our dear sister/brother, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up our sister/brother to You today. We ask for Your healing touch on their mind, their heart, and their soul. Help them to feel Your loving presence, even in the midst of their pain. Surround them with Your peace, and connect them with the right people who can walk alongside them in this journey. Heavenly Father, we pray for Grace. We ask that you embrace her so she feels warmth and immense love - so much love and happiness that she would want to live, and fall in love with life again. Give her peace and comfort my Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
