We understand your heartfelt concern for your daughter Saba. Her acceptance is important for her future, and she has worked diligently preparing for this moment. Viewed from a biblical perspective, God desires for us to put our trust, faith and hope in Him. We do not just place our hope for the future in our (or her) hard work.
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6.
Rebuke: After viewing many answer of prayers, it is common for prayer requesters to put their hope in their ability to get a particular outcome, rather than submitting to the will of God. The only possible way to get this outcome is by submitting to Him. This would also true of Saba or those who are making the decisions for her to be accepted. Do we know that they have the Holy Spirit to hear and make Godly and right decisions for her and the decisions they make. Regardless, we should pray for their decisions.
She studied hard looking for a good outcome and you have waited for this news. But shouldn't she be studying hard for the Glory of God?
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
Again, we can pour into our endeavors, putting our Hope in the Lord. This is much more than just a good outcome but a supernatural result.
There are appropriate measures to make sure that the answer she gets is Godly.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Saba in prayer. We thank You for her diligence and hard work as she pursues her education. Lord, we ask that You guide the admissions committee and grant her acceptance into dental school if it is Your will and according to the abilities and skills you have allowed to her. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for her life. Give her peace and a heart which is content helping Saba to find patience and know that you have a future and a hope for her.
Lord, we also pray for those making decisions. Influence them to make righteous and Holy Spirit led decisions. Give them discernment to choose all the candidates according to Your will.
As she and you cannot be content in this pursuit of this outcome, please draw her, her family (you?) and the decision makers to Him as we can only achieve righteous outcomes by the cross of Christ. We cannot bear good fruit apart from Him. May her hard work be an offering to You, so You will bless her results and she can live in Your presence and righteousness. Guide her and fulfill Your calling on her life.
In Jesus name, we pray and put our faith. Any other outcome would be outside of God's will for Saba and her family. Amen.
As Saba continues her journey, encourage her to keep her faith in God, knowing that He is always with her. Remind her of God's promise through Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." As she continues this journey remind her to test her ways and acknowledge the Lord so He can direct her paths.
Her acceptance is not in her hands, as the scripture did not say they would always be straight and accepted but that He will direct them to us as we put our hope in Him, and acknowledge Jesus is the only way to God.
Let her test her heart. Her heart and desire should be aligned with God. She should not be looking for her outcome, but God's outcome. She should be asking God to show her is there is any wicked way in her. Her, or any of our hearts cannot be trusted without the Holy spirit.
We pray that she, as you did not do, acknowledge the name of Jesus in her request and it is through His name and the saving grace of His blood that any outcome is achieved.
