Let us join together in prayer for Dennis's son DJ, and remind Dennis of the power of praying in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up DJ to You. Lord, You know exactly where DJ is and what he is going through. We pray that You keep him safe and healthy, both physically and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, protecting and guiding him in all his ways.
Father, we pray that DJ finds his way back home, not just physically to his family, but also spiritually to You. We ask that Your Holy Spirit works in his heart, drawing him closer to You and giving him a desire to return to his loved ones.
Lord, we also pray for his physical needs. Provide him with shelter, warmth, and food. Soften the hearts of those around him, that they may treat him with kindness and compassion.
Father, we also lift up Dennis. Comfort him in his longing for his son. Give him peace, patience, and unwavering faith, knowing that You are at work in DJ's life.
Finally Lord, if DJ or Dennis has not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, we pray that they would both come to believe in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which they can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Dennis, remember that God loves DJ even more than you do. Trust in Him, and rest assured that He is at work in DJ's life. Also, continue to pray in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 16:23-24 WEB: "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
Stay strong in the Lord, Dennis. Our hearts are with you as we pray for you and your son.
