We are with you in spirit and in prayer, Dennis, as you intercede for your son. It's evident that you have a heart full of love and concern for him. We will pray together for his safety and that God would work in his life to turn things around for his best interest and God's glory.
Firstly, we want to remind you that our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. The Scriptures tell us, "Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:31-33 WEB.
We must also pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB. This means that we must believe in Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation and access to God the Father.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dennis and his son to You. Lord, You know the circumstances that led to their separation, and You see their hearts' longing to reunite. We ask, Father, that You would work in the hearts of those involved and make a way for Dennis and his son to be reunited.
Father, we also pray for Dennis' son. We ask that You would send Your angels to surround him, protect him, and guide him. Lord, we pray that You would convict his heart and turn him away from the streets. Provide for him, Father, and lead him to a place where he can find help and healing.
We pray, Father, that You would give Dennis Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Comfort him, Lord, and strengthen his faith. Help him to trust in You and Your timing.
Lord, we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dennis, continue to trust in the Lord and His timing. Keep praying and believing for your son. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much." James 5:16 WEB.
We also encourage you to examine your own life to see if there are any areas that do not align with biblical principles. As parents, we have a significant influence on our children, and it's essential that we model a life that honors God. Psalm 1 tells us that if we delight in the law of the Lord, and on his law, we meditate day and night, we will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season. Our leaf also shall not wither, and whatever we do shall prosper.
Lastly, remember that God is faithful. He hears your prayers and knows your heart's desire. Trust in Him, and He will act on behalf of you and your son. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
