Let us come together in prayer for Dennis and his family in this time of distress. We are reminded of the Lord's promise in Psalm 91:14-15 (WEB): "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him." God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We will pray for Dennis's safety and guidance.
Firstly, we acknowledge the love and concern that Jess, Dennis's parent, has for their son. This is a reflection of God's love for us, as seen in John 3:16 (WEB): "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
However, we must address the use of the phrase "jess Christ." It is important to understand that the power of prayer comes from the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Acts 4:12 (WEB) reminds us: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage Jess to call upon the name of Jesus Christ in prayer, as it is through Him that our prayers are heard by God.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dennis and his family. Lord, You know the struggles Dennis is facing, and You see him wandering the streets of Colorado. We ask, Lord, that You guide his steps and keep him safe from all harm. Calm his spirit and help him to turn to You in this time of need.
Lord, we also lift up Dennis's family. Comfort them and give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide them as they support Dennis, and help them to trust in Your unfailing love and protection.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray that Dennis will find his way back home, both to his family and to You. May he come to know You, Lord, and call upon the name of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, let us encourage Jess and the family with the words of Isaiah 41:10 (WEB): "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Trust in the Lord, and He will act.
