We are with you in spirit, Amanda, lifting up your son Dennis to our Heavenly Father. It's encouraging to see that you are praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace.
Firstly, let's pray for Dennis's safety and wellbeing. God knows where Dennis is and what he is going through. We trust that God will protect him and provide for his needs. As it says in Matthew 6:25-26 WEB, "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?"
We also pray that Dennis will reach out to you soon, Amanda. While we wait, let's claim the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
However, we must also consider Dennis's spiritual wellbeing. We pray that wherever Dennis is, he would encounter God and surrender his life to Jesus Christ. As it says in Romans 10:9 WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Lastly, Amanda, we encourage you to trust in God's perfect will. While we pray fervently for Dennis's return, let's also accept that God's ways are higher than our ways. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight."
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dennis to You. Father, we ask that You protect him, provide for his needs, and surround him with Your love. We pray that Dennis will reach out to his mother soon, and that their hearts may be reunited.
We also pray for Dennis's spiritual wellbeing. If he has not already, we pray that he would confess Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Father, we ask for Your comfort and peace for Amanda. Help her to trust in Your perfect will, and to cast all her anxieties on You.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
