We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing. Remember that it is normal to feel overwhelmed and when we are overwhelmed, denial can be a coping mechanism. Do not forget, God is our comforter and our strength, and He promises to be with us in times of trouble.
Remember, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus," Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
Even in denial, pour out your heart to God. He wants us to face this situation and accept the reality. Believing he is healer is one thing but believing the prognosis and still holding onto his power to heal is the better way. Allow Him to give you the peace and comfort you need to accept this situation. He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals you. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with denial about a worsening prognosis. We ask for Your divine comfort and peace to surround them, and for Your Holy Spirit to guide them through this difficult time. Help them to accept the reality of their situation and to trust in Your healing power and perfect will.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of denial and ask that You grant them the strength to face this trial with courage and faith. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply.
We also pray for their healing, knowing that You are the Great Physician and that nothing is impossible for You. We ask for Your will to be done in their life. We claim the victory you have given us over illness in Isaiah 53:4-5. "Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed." In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
This is a battle that needs to be won in the mind first. Be anxious for nothing. Turn your worries into prayers, trusting that God is in control and that He loves you more than you can imagine. Focus on His promises and His goodness.
