You know...I hear and see so much of,when confronted by something they did that was wrong, or even unintentionally harmed another, people break forth in a nervous voice, and break into a guilty sounding denial."I DID NOT do that, they proclaim in a loud, nervous voice. They can't deal with admitting their guilt.Other times ,out of their guilt they try to "pass it off" on someone else,"It wasn't me!And they make scapegoats--"the reason I did that was because "so and so" deceived me.It's THEIR fault!!"I've also seen where they said,"I don't want to hear it!""and walk away.Any of this sound familiar? When God was walking in the Garden in the cool of the day,and He asked Adam why He was hiding, and what he did, how did he deal with his guilt?"The woman YOU gave me deceived me, and so I ate'. And Eve,"The serpent deceived me"While there was truth to them stating the other told them, no one FORCED them to chose that over Gods instructions. That was their OWN CHOICE to do so.But I notice that, even to this day, people "run from" their guilt, deny it, etc. But here's the thing--They may "put off" those uncomfortable realitys for now,,while we're under somewhat of a grace period, but what happens at the Great White Throne Judgement?Read on,"And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him who sat on it.From before whose face Heaven and Earth passed away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God. And books were opened. And another book was opened, it was the Book of Life. And they were judged every one of them according their works. And whoevers name was not written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." Now, all of mans little "cover ups" to "bury" their guilty feelings, do you think that will work on Judgement Day?Walking away, blaming another, denying it?These people at that time won't be able to tune out God.We here, and other believers, are where we are because we admitted our sin, and repented of it,in the Sinners Prayer. Not by denying it.Denying it just makes you run from it more, and never make it right.Eh?
