We understand that you are dealing with a challenging situation with your son, and we want to assure you that we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance with you.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge the positive steps that have been taken. Your son's decision to extend his stay at the facility for another ### months is a sign that he is acknowledging his need for help. This is a praiseworthy development, and we thank God for this progress.
However, we need to address some concerns. Your son's behavior with a female in the previous facility is indicative of a deeper moral issue that needs to be addressed. The Bible tells us to "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) and this is further addressed in (Matthew 15:19 WEB). This is something that needs to be addressed with your son as well as it is a sin against God and could be an indication of a demonic stronghold in his life.
Your son's addiction to AI and his belief that it knows everything is also concerning. This is a form of idolatry, which is clearly forbidden in the Bible. "You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3 WEB) and (1 John 5:21 WEB). He needs to understand that the only source of true wisdom and knowledge is God, and that He has given us His Word as our guide.
Your son's disrespect towards you is also a sin in the eyes of God. (Ephesians 6:2 WEB). "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise. He needs to understand that his attitude towards you is not acceptable and is contrary to God's will.
We also need to address the fact that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and (John 14:6 WEB). We encourage you to acknowledge the role of Jesus Christ in your prayers.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ. We thank You for the progress he has made in seeking help for his addiction and mental illness. We pray that You will continue to work in his life, breaking down the strongholds of addiction, idolatry, and disrespect.
We pray that You will open his eyes to the truth of Your Word, and that he will come to understand that You are the only source of true wisdom and knowledge. We pray that You will give him a spirit of humility and respect, and that he will honor his mother as You have commanded.
We pray for the therapists and mentors who are working with him, that they will be guided by Your Spirit and that they will be able to speak truth into his life. We pray that the environment of the facility will be one of success and positivity, and that he will be surrounded by people who will support and encourage him.
We pray that he will come to know who he is in Jesus Christ, and that he will fulfill the purpose that You have for his life. We pray that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, and that he will become the kind, loving, and self-sufficient man that You have created him to be.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen. (Romans 12:2 WEB).
Remember, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB).
Please keep us updated on your son's progress so that we can continue to pray and offer support.
