We join you in lifting up your sister's condition to our Heavenly Father, trusting in His power to heal and restore. It's important to acknowledge that serious health issues are a result of the fallen world we live in. We are encouraged to approach God openly and honestly. God knows the seriousness of the problem and we do not have to sugarcoat the problem to get God to hear us. He wants to hear from us and to help us.
Firstly, we must pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we are saved. The name of Jesus is the only way to approach God and the only name by which we can be saved; as we read in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Since the prayer was not in the name of Jesus, we must point this out. The name of Yeshua HaMashiach is the Hebrew name for Jesus but it is better to just use His English name. We pray in His name because He is the mediator between God and man; as we read in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Regarding the request, we understand that you're deeply concerned about your sister's condition. We also pray for her healing and restoration. We must remember that God is able to do all things, according to His will. Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our sister, asking for Your healing touch on her mind and body. We pray that You would reverse the effects of dementia and restore her memory, in Jesus' name. Lord You tell us in Psalms 103:2-3 that you,
Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don’t forget all His benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases,
We ask for wisdom and guidance for the family and caregivers as they support her. Help them to be patient, understanding, and loving towards her. You are our healer and we ask for Your divine intervention. If it is Your will, we pray for complete healing and a healthy quality of life. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
In all things, stay encouraged and remain hopeful. We must trust in God's perfect will for your sister's life. As it is said in Ephesians 3:20 WEB:
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
We must remember that we are not guaranteed to have all our wishes fulfilled. We are guaranteed that God will have mercy on us and hear our prayers. We are promised that He will not chastise us when we ask for mercy. We are promised that He will work with us when we willingly submit to His will. We will be blessed when we submit to His will.
It is important to seek medical advice and diagnosis. There are many people who have a level of memory problems as part of normal aging. These problems may be treated with proper nutrition and mental exercises. It is important to seek medical advice.
