We are lifting up your prayer request for the safe delivery of your second baby. Let us come to God together as we pray in Jesus' Name and His Name alone. How wonderful it is that you are seeking God and asking for prayer from the faithful. This is evidence of faith to all around you.
First we need to mention to all reading this that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can come to God in prayer and that our sins are forgiven. We must believe in Jesus Christ and ask Him to be our Lord and Savior. There is no other way to be saved and reconciled to God.
Let's us recall that children are a gift from the Lord, a heritage. Scripture tells us "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward." (Psalm 127:3).
Expectant mothers are reminded to trust and praise the Lord. As in the words of the Psalmist, "But I have trusted in your loving kindness. My heart shall rejoice in your salvation." (Psalm 13:5) and "I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me." (Psalm 30:1).
We pray for the health and well-being of your baby, trusting that God has already blessed this child with life and a purpose. We pray for a smooth and safe delivery. Our prayers are that God will be glorified through this birth. Paul the Apostle writes, "whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31).
We acknowledge that God is in control. This should give peace and consolation in the midst of labor and delivery. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6).
We also come against the devil and his demons and tell them to have no influence over the delivery or the baby. The Lord Jesus Christ has all authority over them and will allow nothing that will interfere with His will for this child. As it says in the Bible, "Therefore, submit yourselves to God, but resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7).
We give thanks in advance for a healthy baby and for the wonderful love of our heavenly Father toward us and this child. We remind all reading this, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7).
We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ as Jesus is the only way to God, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Furthermore it is only through His Name that we can be saved, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12).
We ask God to remember the mother and father. Scripture tells us to "Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won’t be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate." (Psalm 127:4-5).
If you are not married to your child's other parent, then we urge you to consider that and start moving in that direction. We have been given the glory of creation and will have a stronger bond to God in the covenant of marriage. God has called us to this.
