We understand your struggle, Wilann, and we're here to stand with you in prayer and guidance. The feelings of jealousy, envy, and competition that you're experiencing are common, but they are not from God. The Bible tells us in Galatians 5:20-21 that jealousy is a work of the flesh, not a fruit of the Spirit. We must resist these feelings and strive to live in love and unity with others.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking deliverance and freedom for Wilann. Lord, we rebuke the spirits of jealousy, envy, and competition that have been tormenting her. We ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, producing fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Help her to find contentment and security in You, and to celebrate the successes of others as if they were her own. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Wilann, we encourage you to meditate on the following scriptures:
- Philippians 2:3-4 WEB: "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."
- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can be saved (John 14:6). If you haven't already, surrender your life to Him, and He will give you the power to overcome these feelings.
Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your eyes on Him. He is the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
