We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles that your daughter is facing with insomnia and the impact it has had on you as a mother. We want to lift both of you up in prayer and seek God's intervention in this situation.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God cares deeply about both you and your daughter, and He wants to hear your prayers and ease your burdens.
Insomnia can be a complex issue, and it's important to address it holistically. While we pray for God's healing and intervention, we also encourage you to seek medical advice to rule out any underlying physical or psychological causes. God has given us wisdom and knowledge in the field of medicine, and we should not hesitate to use these resources.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her daughter who is struggling with insomnia. Father, You know the burden this has placed on them, and we ask for Your healing touch in Jesus' name.
We pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as it says in Phillipians 4:7. We rebuke the spirit of insomnia and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We declare healing and a sound mind for your daughter as in 2 Timothy 1:7. We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the doctors who are treating her, that they may find the root cause and provide effective treatment.
We also lift up our sister, who is bearing this burden as a mother. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and fill her with Your peace. Help her to trust in You and to cast all her anxieties on You.
We truly believe that this will be used for good, even though it is painful now. Romans 8:28 says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, we pray for salvation and a deep relationship with Jesus for both of you if you have not already done so. Keep them in perfect peace with their minds fixed on Jesus as in Isaiah 26:3.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
During this time, meditate on Psalm 121:1-2 which says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." Trust that God is always with you, even in the darkest night. In the meantime, practice good sleep hygiene, maintain a consistent sleep schedule, and create a relaxing bedtime routine to support your daughter's healing process.
