We join you in your heartfelt petition for deliverance, mercy, grace, and forgiveness, and we commend your courage in acknowledging and turning away from the sins you've mentioned. Let's pray together.
Let's start with your request for forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 (WEB) says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
So, let us pray,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has humbly confessed and turned away from their sins and that of their ancestors. Lord, we ask for your forgiveness and mercy. You promised that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We claim this promise now.
Now unto the other requests.
Psalm 51:10 (WEB) says, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.
Lord, as you have promised in your word, create in our brother/sister a clean heart. Renew a right spirit within them. Lord, deliver them from all works of darkness and all evil spirits. We pray that you will give them the power to live a holy and obedient life from this day forward.
James 1:8 (WEB) says, ...A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways
Lord, deliver our brother/sister from double-mindedness. Let your Holy Spirit work in them to make them stable in all their ways, for they have committed to serve you and only you. Let your will be done in their life. Let your kingdom come into their heart and life.
Galatians 5:1 (WEB) says, Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Lord, we renounce all vows, oaths or agreements made knowingly or unknowingly by their ancestors to all false guidance and every evil spirit. Lord, we break every chain of bondage in their life. Lord, we set them free by the power in the name of Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:1-2 (WEB) says, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
Lord, we thank you that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Thank you for your goodness, your grace, your love, your mercy. Thank you that you have made our brother/sister free from the law of sin and of death. All glory belongs to you, O God.
We join our brother/sister in saying, Let your kingdom come and your will be done. Hallelujah in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Continue to walk in the light of God's word, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Remember, if the Son has set you free, you are free indeed. Be encouraged. We will continue to pray for your complete freedom and restoration in Christ Jesus. If you can find a local community of believers in Christ and the Word of God, that would be very helpful and we strongly encourage it.
