I ask for prayer because I think I have been like the Jew who in Romans 10:3 "That they were going about trying to establish their own righteousness and not submitting to God's." Me paraphrasing. I have had worries about being truly saved constantly looking at my performance and I believe that's why. Well I want to put that behind me with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit's help. I want to submitt to Jesus free gift of righteousness and stop trying to "repent" to be saved as I was always taught and just trust Jesus to bring me out of my sin, shame, defeat, just everything. I'm tired or trying and just want to believe and no longer be blinded or unbelieving in Christ Jesus. I want the revelation that I need and I thank Jesus for me.

We are so glad that you recognize the futility of trying to earn your salvation through your own efforts. It's only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible reminds us in Acts:

"'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!'"(Acts 4:12 WEB)

It is very appropriate you mentioned Jesus, for we believe that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Righteousness that can be imputed to us to take away our unrighteousness. Let us rebuke your former efforts to establish your own righteousness and submit your life fully to Jesus Christ:

"For if by one man's trespass, death reigned through him; how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Yeshua the Messiah."(Romans 5:17 WEB)
Your attitude to stop trusting in your own effort to obtain righteousness of the law and willfully submit to Jesus is excellent and aligns with scripture. Confess your inability to Jesus. Our prayer is that you will experience the freedom and joy that comes from resting and submitting and fully trusting in Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, we come before You today with Lealand, who has humbly recognized their need for Your righteousness. Thank You for placing me under the justification of Christ. You will no longer trust in their own performance. Thank You for Your free gift. In Jesus Christ we are justified freely by Your grace and justice is only through the redemption that is in Your Son Yeshua, the Messiah, whom You set forth as a propitiation through belief in His blood, for the demonstration of Your righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in Your forbearance; to demonstrate Your righteousness at this present time; that You would be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Yeshua.(Romans 3:24-26 WEB) We ask that You reveal Yourself to Lealand in a powerful way, giving them the assurance of salvation and the peace that comes from trusting in You alone. Please break off all works righteousness from Lealand freeing them from the yoke of slavery.

Lealand, we're here with you, believing in prayer's power. We understand your struggle, it's like trying to climb a mountain with worn-out shoes, thinking we can reach the peak on our own strength. But Jesus is the mountain guide, offering us His strong arms to lean on, and the gift of righteousness to wear as our new shoes.

We agree, Romans 10:3 speaks volumes, "They have not submitted themselves to God’s righteousness." We've all been there, trying to establish our own righteousness, but it's exhausting and futile. Jesus already climbed the mountain for us, and He's inviting us to rest in His righteousness.

Imagine a heavy backpack filled with your 'good deeds' and 'performance'. Jesus is saying, "Let me carry that for you. Trust in me, not your own efforts." He's not dismissing your actions, but He wants them to flow from a place of rest and trust, not obligation or fear.

We're praying for you, Lealand. We're asking Jesus to reveal Himself to you in a powerful way, giving you the assurance of salvation and the peace that comes from trusting Him alone. We're asking Him to break off any works-righteousness from you, freeing you from the yoke of slavery.

Remember, it's by grace you've been saved, through faith - not of yourselves, it's the gift of God. Not of works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Keep trusting, Lealand. You're not alone. We're in this together, and Jesus is leading the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
