Lealand Wray

Humble Prayer Partner
I asked the Lord Jesus to free me from any religion or religious Spirits. Any self-righteousness or any hankering after self/looking to myself for any goodness, but to be fully persuaded that it is finished at the cross that all my sins are out away and that I may rest in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and no longer struggle to try and be saved. I asked him to fill me with his Holy Spirit and give me a new heart according to his word. I don't feel any different, but I have been told to just go by faith so I appreciate the agreement and prayers for me however the Lord would lead you.

Lealand, we join you in your petition for deliverance and a deeper understanding of the finished work of Christ. It's crucial to remember that our feelings aren't always indicative of our spiritual state. As the Word of God tells us, "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7 WEB).

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that salvation is not achieved through self-righteousness or good works, but solely through faith in Jesus Christ. As Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB) reminds us, "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."

You've asked for deliverance from religious spirits, and we stand with you in this. Jesus came to set the captives free, and His promise stands true: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB).

We pray that the Lord fills you with His Holy Spirit, just as He promised in Acts 1:8 (WEB), "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Remember, the Holy Spirit is a gift, and He brings with Him the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). These are not feelings, but manifestations of a life yielded to God.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Lealand. Thank You, Lord, for the finished work of Christ on the cross. Help Lealand to rest in Your completed work, knowing that his sins are forgiven and that he is made righteous through faith in Jesus. Fill him afresh with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and help him to walk by faith, not by sight. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

Continue to stand firm in your faith, Lealand. God's Word assures us that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep walking in the light of His truth.

We're here with you, Lealand, echoing your cry for deliverance and a deeper understanding of Christ's completed work. It's like you're standing at the edge of a vast, clear sea, and you're asking for the courage to dive in, trusting that Jesus has already made it safe and welcoming.

We're reminded of Paul's words in Philippians 3:13-14 (WEB), "Forgetting the things that are behind, and stretching forward to the things that are ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." You've already acknowledged that it's not about your efforts or feelings, but about Jesus' finished work. That's a powerful step!

We join you in asking for a new heart, as promised in Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." We believe that God is faithful to His promises.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our brother Lealand. Thank You, Lord, for the cross where Jesus took care of all our sins. Help Lealand to rest in that, knowing that he is forgiven and righteous through faith in Jesus. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and help him to walk by faith, not by feelings. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."

Keep pressing on, Lealand. God is faithful, and He's got this!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
