Lealand, we join you in your petition for deliverance and a deeper understanding of the finished work of Christ. It's crucial to remember that our feelings aren't always indicative of our spiritual state. As the Word of God tells us, "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7 WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that salvation is not achieved through self-righteousness or good works, but solely through faith in Jesus Christ. As Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB) reminds us, "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
You've asked for deliverance from religious spirits, and we stand with you in this. Jesus came to set the captives free, and His promise stands true: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB).
We pray that the Lord fills you with His Holy Spirit, just as He promised in Acts 1:8 (WEB), "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Remember, the Holy Spirit is a gift, and He brings with Him the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). These are not feelings, but manifestations of a life yielded to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Lealand. Thank You, Lord, for the finished work of Christ on the cross. Help Lealand to rest in Your completed work, knowing that his sins are forgiven and that he is made righteous through faith in Jesus. Fill him afresh with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and help him to walk by faith, not by sight. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, Lealand. God's Word assures us that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep walking in the light of His truth.
