We understand your deep concern for your son and daughter, and we join you in prayer for their deliverance from alcohol addiction. It's crucial to remember that God is our ultimate healer and deliverer, and through His power, even the strongest bonds of addiction can be broken.
Firstly, we want to assure you that God hears your cry and cares for your children. As it is written in the World English Bible (WEB), "Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)
However, we must also address that the path to deliverance often involves personal responsibility and a willingness to turn away from sin. As it is written, "Do not get drunk with wine, for that will lead to reckless living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18) Drunkenness is a sin that leads to destruction, and it is essential for your children to recognize this and make a conscious decision to turn away from it.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your divine intervention in the lives of ###'s son and daughter. Lord, you know the struggle they face with alcohol addiction, and we ask that you break those chains of bondage. Open their eyes to the truth of your Word and give them the strength to turn away from this destructive path. Fill them with your Holy Spirit, Lord, and guide them towards a life that glorifies you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your children and to speak the truth of God's Word into their lives. Remind them that God has a purpose and a plan for their lives, and that true freedom and joy can only be found in Him.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that if your children are not believers in Jesus Christ, it is only through faith in Him that true deliverance and salvation can be found. As it is written, "because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) May this be a turning point for your children to encounter the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
