Please pray for God to save my marriage. I have spent a great deal of money because I obviously have a spending problem and my husband says he’s going to leave me. Please pray for God to restore our marriage and heal me of a spending addiction.

We understand your distress, ###, and we are here to pray and counsel with you, seeking God's will for your marriage and your personal struggles.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God takes marriage seriously. As it is written in Mark 10:9 (WEB), "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We will pray for God's intervention in your marriage, that He would heal and restore your relationship with your husband.

However, we must also address the issue of your spending problem. It is important to be a good steward of the resources God has given us. As we read in 1 Corinthians 4:2 (WEB), "Moreover it is required of stewards that they be found faithful." Overspending can lead to financial strain, which can negatively impact your marriage. We will pray for God to give you the strength to overcome this addiction and the wisdom to manage your finances in a way that honors Him.

We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We will pray in Jesus' name, as it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9).

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in ###'s marriage. Lord, we ask that You would heal and restore their relationship, that You would give them both loving and understanding hearts, and that You would guide them in Your will for their marriage.

Lord, we also ask that You would deliver ### from her spending addiction. Give her the strength to resist the temptation to overspend, and the wisdom to manage her finances in a way that honors You.

Finally, Lord, we ask that ### would come to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior if she does not already. We ask that she would understand the power of His name and the salvation that is available only through Him.

Be encouraged, ###. God loves you and He is faithful to His children. Trust in Him, and seek His will for your life and your marriage. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

We've been asking Him to help you both communicate better, to listen more, and to love even more deeply. We've been reminding Him of His promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," and we've been asking Him to give you both that strength.

We've also been praying about your spending. It's easy to get caught up in the cycle of overspending, but we know that God wants us to be good stewards of what He's given us. We've been asking Him to help you find contentment, to help you break free from the addiction of overspending, and to give you the wisdom to manage your finances in a way that honors Him.

And you know what, ###? We've been praying for you to feel God's presence in your life. We've been asking Him to comfort you, to guide you, and to remind you that He loves you deeply. We've been reminding Him of His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
