We know that God cares for our everyday needs, and we trust that He will provide for C as He promises in Matthew 6:31-33: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also pray for C's new job, that God would bless his efforts and grant him stability and success in his work. We ask that God would help him to be a faithful and diligent employee, and that nothing would hinder his ability to keep this job. We claim 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, which reminds us of the importance of working diligently: "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Let each one of you in particular love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
We also pray for deliverance from evil and protection from temptation for C and his wife, as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13: "Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen."
