Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s son who is struggling with drug addiction and smoking marijuana. Lord, we acknowledge that addiction is a stronghold that can only be broken by the power of your Holy Spirit. We declare that you are the God of deliverance and freedom, and we ask for your intervention in this situation.

In your Word, Lord, you have promised that if we ask anything according to your will, you will hear us. We believe that it is your will for ###'s son to be set free from the bondage of addiction and to walk in the abundant life that you have planned for him.

We rebuke the work of Satan in his life, in the name of Jesus, and we ask that you break every chain that is holding him captive. We pray for a supernatural release from the addiction to drugs and marijuana. Let your Holy Spirit convict him of the destructive nature of these substances and grant him the strength and desire to turn away from them.

Lord, we ask for your divine protection over ###'s son. Surround him with godly influences and remove any negative influences that may be leading him astray. Bring people into his life who will speak truth and love into his situation, guiding him towards a path of healing and restoration.

We also pray for ### and their family, Lord. Strengthen them during this challenging time and grant them wisdom, patience, and perseverance as they support their son. Fill them with your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind them that you are with them every step of the way.

Hello beloved of the Lord,
I prayed this prayer for ### and family. Please please pray for my Son to be released from addictions too, illicit drugs and benzodiazepines (Xanax). He also has OCD and severe anxiety. I know it is only the Holy Spirit that can help him but doesn’t he need to want help, at the moment he does not seem to want it. He is in such a dark place. Do you think my Faith will affect the outcome… that seems a lot to bear?
