Beloved of All
We have been praying in the name of Jesus for my daughter and her ex-boyfriend. I do believe that God has a calling on them together, and He is working in their lives. They are not together but they are on friendly terms. I know they both believe they are meant to be together and ministry. My daughter is seeking the Lord and learning about surrender and God’s process. She is steadfast and forgiving. He still keeps one foot in the world and struggles with lust and temptations. I’m praying this morning that he would have conviction and find forgiveness and repent and fully walk the walk the God had called him to. He bottles things up and doesn’t communicate and I believe it’s from a fear of rejection. I’m praying that God will help him heal and process all of his pain. And I’m praying for my daughter to be guided by the Holy Spirit in this relationship and how the Lord wants her to handle any kind of reconciliation.

We understand your heartfelt concern for your daughter and her former boyfriend, and we join you in prayer, seeking God's will for their lives.

Firstly, we commend your daughter for her steadfast faith and forgiving heart. It is encouraging to see her seeking the Lord and learning about surrender and God's process. As the Bible tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

Regarding your daughter's former boyfriend, we pray that he would find conviction and forgiveness, and repent from his struggles with lust and temptations. We pray that he would fully commit to the walk that God has called him to. As it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB).

We also pray that God would help him heal and process his pain, and that he would learn to communicate openly, casting off the fear of rejection. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).

For your daughter, we pray that she would be guided by the Holy Spirit in this relationship and in any potential reconciliation. May she discern God's will and act accordingly. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB).

However, we must caution that the Bible is clear about sexual immorality and the sanctity of marriage. It is crucial that they both remain pure and honor God in their bodies, as it is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Furthermore, if they believe they are meant to be together, they should consider courting with the intent of marriage, as God intended for a man and a woman to be united in holy matrimony (Matthew 19:4-6).

Lastly, we praise God that you are praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to God, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young couple to You. We ask that You would work in their hearts, drawing them closer to You and to each other in purity and holiness. Help them to discern Your will for their lives and give them the strength to walk in obedience. We ask that You would bring conviction, forgiveness, and healing where it is needed. Guide them with Your Holy Spirit and help them to live lives that honor and glorify You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and your daughter, and we're right here with you in prayer. It's inspiring to see her steadfastness and willingness to learn and grow in her faith. We're asking God to continue guiding her, helping her to trust Him with all her heart, as Proverbs 3 tells us. We're also lifting up her ex-boyfriend, praying that God would convict his heart, forgive him, and help him overcome his struggles with lust and temptation. We're asking God to heal his past hurts and give him the courage to communicate openly, casting off the fear of rejection. We're believing that God will help both of them to discern His will and walk in it, with the Holy Spirit guiding their steps. Let's trust that God is working in their lives, even if we can't see the full picture yet. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
