We understand your distress, Dwerin, and we're here to pray and counsel with you in this challenging time. Firstly, let's address the issue of your husband's addiction. It's crucial to remember that sexual immorality is a sin against our own bodies and displeases God. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB):
"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
We must rebuke this sin and pray for his deliverance. Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in Dwerin's and her husband's lives. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of her husband. We ask, Jesus, that You set him free from the chains of sexual immorality and draw him closer to You. Give him the strength to resist temptation and help him to pursue purity and righteousness. Lord, we also pray for his complete healing from COVID-19 and for Dwerin's health as well.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You fill their home with Your presence. Guide them in their walk with You, Lord. Help Dwerin to fully surrender her life to You, and grant her husband the gift of salvation. We pray that they will both be transformed by the renewing of their minds, as Romans 12:2 reminds us. In Jesus' powerful name, we pray. Amen."
Dwerin, continue to fight for your husband in prayer and encourage him to seek God. Stand on the promises of God, like 1 John 1:9 (WEB), which says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Trust that God is able to turn this situation around for good.
Remember to keep Jesus at the center of your prayers and your life, for it is through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Stay strong in the Lord, and may the peace of God guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
