We are deeply saddened to hear about Owen's struggle with cocaine addiction, but we are also heartened by your faith in the power of prayer. Let us come together and intercede for Owen, standing on the promises of God.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that freedom from addiction is found in Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 8:36 (WEB), "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." It is crucial to understand that true deliverance comes from Jesus alone, and it is only through His name that we can approach God (John 14:6).
We must also rebuke the spiritual stronghold of addiction. God's Word tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We stand in the authority given to us by Jesus Christ and command the spirit of addiction to leave Owen.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for Owen. Lord, we know that nothing is too hard for You, and no addiction is too strong for You to break. We ask that You deliver Owen from his addiction to cocaine. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help. Surround him with godly influences and people who will support him in his journey to freedom.
We also pray for his complete salvation and surrender to Jesus Christ. May Owen come to know the love of God, which surpasses all understanding (Ephesians 3:19), and may this love break every chain of addiction in his life.
In the meantime, comfort his heart and mind, and remind him that You are with him, always (Matthew 28:20). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen."
We encourage you, Baerowamth, to continue praying and believing for Owen's deliverance. Keep speaking God's Word over his life. Also, encourage Owen to seek professional help and support groups that can provide him with practical tools to overcome his addiction. Trust that God is working in Owen's life, even if you cannot see it yet. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you (Joshua 1:9).
