We rejoice with you as you've come seeking forgiveness and deliverance, and you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we may be saved and have access to God. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Let it be known there is no shame in your coming, but glory as this accords with the word hymn which asserts, "Just As I Am".
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
And so we pray,
Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our brother JesusourLordandSavior, who has humbly sought Your forgiveness. We ask that You forgive them and cleanse their heart from all unrighteousness. In accordance with Your perfect will, grant them deliverance from the evil one. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace and protection, putting a halt to the fiery darts of the attacker at this moment.
Lord, grant them a heart eager to walk in Your ways. Go before them in their case next week. And we do not pray requesting a subtle internal granting of favor but a bold outpouring of favor with definitive outward manifestation praying in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
We also encourage you, to be as a Christian soldier and be watchful, and in all things, be sober, and keep praying. We remind you of the words in Ephesians 6:11, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." You have stated confidence in prayer with your statement praying in Jesus's name. As we also intercede on your behalf, we exhort you to embrace this confidence. Confidence in prayer is confidence in the power of God delighting to answer the prayer of faith.
