Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts burdened for Alston, who is struggling with drug addiction and mental confusion. Lord, we know that You are a God of deliverance and healing. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:17, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles." We cry out to You now, asking for Your divine intervention in Alston's life.
Father, we pray that You would break the chains of addiction that have ensnared Alston. We know that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we ask that You would bring freedom to Alston's life. Remove the desire for drugs and replace it with a hunger for righteousness and a thirst for Your presence.
Lord, we also lift up Alston's mental confusion to You. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." We ask that You would grant Alston a sound mind, free from confusion and filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
As Alston faces a pre-trial on the 17th of this month, we ask for Your favor and mercy. We pray for wisdom for the legal representatives and for a fair and just outcome. We know that You are a God of justice (Isaiah 30:18), and we trust that Your will be done in this situation.
Lord, we also ask for strength and wisdom for Alston's family during this challenging time. Help them to support and encourage Alston in ways that are pleasing to You. May they find comfort in Your promises and trust in Your unfailing love.
We pray all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
